- (1888PressRelease) April 29, 2011 - Emmy-nominated actress and humanitarian, Eva La Rue, will appear on ABC's "Live! with Regis & Kelly" on April 29 as a special guest during the show's VIP Royal Wedding Viewing Party, where she will discuss her new role as National Spokesperson for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving and enhancing quality of life for cancer patients and their families.
Best known as Natalia Boa Vista, a DNA Lab Specialist turned CSI on "CSI: Miami," and her long-running portrayal of Dr. Maria Santos on "All My Children," Eva La Rue has been active for years in her support of cancer-affiliated causes, which are near and dear to her heart; both her grandmother and great-grandmother were lost to cancer. In May, La Rue will introduce a series of public service announcements developed to heighten awareness for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation's unique patient programs. During her scheduled appearance for the program's "Royal Wedding Week," La Rue will take part in festivities celebrating the much-anticipated marriage of England's Prince William to Kate Middleton.

About Beckstrand Cancer Foundation: Beckstrand Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1974 by Dr. Grant Beckstrand and a group of doctors specializing in the treatment and care of cancer patients. For more than 36 years, the Foundation's goal has been to improve and enhance the quality of life for cancer patients and their families by providing financial assistance, patient advocacy, supportive counseling and practical help to patients in the midst of their cancer treatment and struggling to cope with critical survival needs. While research is imperative to finding a cure, approximately 1.4 million new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in the coming year, and little support is available to assist these victims with day-to-day living and basic needs. This is where Beckstrand Cancer Foundation serves as the missing link. For more information, visit www.Beckstrand.org.
