NBC has been driving the Clear the Shelters initiative nationwide. NBC 10 Philly is supporting PSPCA.org. Gillian Kocher, Dir of Public Relations at Philadelphia SPCA shared, "This is my second year participating in the Clear the Shelters event. Last year we had a wonderful turnout, and we're hoping this year exceeds our expectations. I've really enjoyed working with Rosemary Connor of NBC 10 Philly and Bill Beck of Beck's Cajun Cafe. This year will be a treat, since Beck's has so graciously donated food, staff and all proceeds of their Dream Dog Buffet to the PSPCA. Their staff volunteers at our location. They love on our pets, and you can tell they enjoy their time with our animals."
Recently the staff at Beck's Cajun Cafe received their volunteer training for PSPCA. Chef Bill took part in this training and shared, "This event is so close to my family's heart, along with volunteering at the PSPCA. My daughter Kimber adopted her pit bull, OZ, from this same location. This breed of dog is so kind, but they have gotten a really bad rap over the years. I'm hoping every pet gets adopted this upcoming Saturday."
Beck’s Cajun Café is a family owned business run by Bill Beck. The Beck family has a long history of caring about, and investing in their employees, customers, and the local community. #BecksGives is Bill’s way to bring about change and awareness while supporting the immediate needs of Philadelphia's communities on a personal level. The partnership with the Pennsylvania SPCA is the first in a line of upcoming initiatives for the #BecksGives campaign.

About Beck's Cajun Cafe
Since 2009, Beck’s two locations in Philadelphia’s historic Reading Terminal Market (one of the nation's oldest continuously operating farmers' markets) and 30th Street Station serves what’s been called the best Gumbo and Po Boys East of the Mississippi.
Chef Bill Beck’s love of New Orleans, its ambience and cuisine, can be sampled at his small 20’ x 20’ café affectionately nicknamed “The Ant Farm.” But, don’t let the name fool you! The cafes small size doesn’t restrain Bill’s culinary passion or drive to prepare and share authentic Nawlins’ flavors with Philly.
