Beck’s Cajun Café rolls out new menu items that highlight local farm fresh produce and Cajun comfort foods.
Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2017 - Say hello to new menu items from Beck’s Cajun Café! Joining the café’s extensive list of made-from-scratch items are a Brioche French Toast Bake (with pecan pralines and fruit compote) accompanied by Cajun fries and your choice of meat; a Short Rib Po’ Boy (topped with home-made slaw and Tabasco onions); Fried Mac & Cheese Balls (with bacon); a Blackened Catfish Platter; Chicken & Shrimp Gumbo; Gumbo Fries; Beignets (all day long) and an abundant choice of fresh omelets.
These new menu items are available at both locations, the Reading Terminal Market and 30th Street Station.
The Executive Chef and Owner, Bill Beck, is known for being fresh and relevant. When coming up with a new menu, Chef Beck thought of his Short Rib recipe, created in 2000 for his catering clients. “When I reminisced how tasty the Short Rib had been, I naturally thought of creating a Short Rib Po Boy, the ingredients are so natural to pair with a Po Boy – short ribs, demi barbeque sauce with tobacco onions. “
Once Chef Beck shared tastings with his customers’ and heard this, “Oh my God this is so scrumptious!” he knew he had a hit on his hands.
Chef Beck also noted the Reading Terminal Market Café’s remodel, which includes, “new custom designed light fixtures, tile flooring, faux barn siding as well as an increased seating capacity and purse.” The remodel enhances every guests’ experience of “a little taste of authentic N’AWLINS.”
