(1888PressRelease) July 02, 2013 - Cardiff, UK: BBI Solutions is pleased to announce that its Blaenavon manufacturing site has been awarded the prestigious Green Dragon Environmental Standard (Level 2). The Green Dragon Standard is a stepped environmental management standard recognising effective environmental management. BBI Solutions at Blaenavon, previously known as BBI Enzymes (UK), achieved the award after passing a stringent audit proving the company's commitment to environmental management and improvement.

Commenting on the Green Dragon Standard, Ian Cookson, COO at BBI Solutions said: "We take our commitment to the environment very seriously. Achieving this award is important for our customers who often require proof of our environmental credentials in maintaining their own accreditations and best practice. BBI Solutions manufacture a diverse range of enzymes derived from microbial, animal and plant tissues, including the market leading glucose oxidase and horseradish peroxidase. These are manufactured in purpose-built laboratories in Blaenavon, Wales which enables the cost-effective manufacture of enzymes in batch sizes up to 700kg.
