Bayer CropScience Honored With "A Better World" Award From Triangle Business Journal
Company is a Game Changer for Local nonprofit Organizations.

During an awards banquet held Thursday, April 19, at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh, Bayer CropScience was recognized for cultivating partnerships with local charitable organizations in response to challenges facing the greater Triangle community.
During the year, more than 200 local Bayer CropScience employees dedicated their time and expertise toward solving the problems of hunger and homelessness, as well as enriching the Triangle community through hands-on science education efforts. The beneficiaries of employee volunteerism included Passage Home, United Way of the Greater Triangle, the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and The Shepherd's Table Soup Kitchen, among others. Additionally, Bayer CropScience employees supported the company's "Making Science Make Sense" program that advances science literacy through hands-on, inquiry-based learning at area schools. Bayer CropScience company donations in 2011 totaled more than $475,000.
