Mims African American Cultural Center. The event will take place at 2pm, and Dr. Cornell West will serve as guest speaker. Early voting for Ohio residents began Tuesday, September 30th and will end Monday, November 3rd, just one day ahead of Election Day.
Basheer Jones, named one of Cleveland State University’s "50 Great African-American Men", has hosted many rallies this election season at Cleveland-area high schools and colleges with the hope of getting young voters out to the polls in record numbers. Jones recently opened at a rally for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama at Tri-C Community College. He has also interviewed Obama’s running mate, Senator Joe Biden, and wife Michelle for Newstalk 1490’s “Basheer Jones and Company Morning Show”.
