BASF’s online communication awarded multiple prizes
Connect. BASF receives International German PR Award 2011. Online report, Investor Relations and corporate website came in first in various rankings.
- (1888PressRelease) October 22, 2011 - BASF has received the International German PR Award 2011 in the category “Community Communication” for its internal online business network connect.BASF. The prize is awarded every year by the German Public Relations Society (DPRG) together with the F.A.Z. Institute and is considered to be the most renowned German communications award.

connect.BASF also won the European Digital Communications Award announced by the Quadriga University of Applied Sciences in Berlin in the category “Internal Communication” in September and in April the German Award for Online Communication of the German PR magazine pressesprecher in the category “Internal Online Communication.”

BASF’s online communication also performed very well in various rankings: In July, the company’s corporate website www.basf.com came in first in the overall ranking of the Corporate Benchmark 2011, issued by the communication agency NetFederation in Cologne. Especially the Newsroom for journalists and the Investor Relations section ranked well and also came in first in the sub-categories “Media Relations” and “Investor Relations”. Every year, NetFederation composes the Corporate Benchmark in different disciplines of online communication within the 110 companies listed in the German stock indices DAX, MDAX and TecDAX.
In April, the IR Global Rankings 2011 selected BASF’s Investor Relations website to be the best in Germany and BASF’s online report 2010 to be the best in Europe. The rankings for investor relations communication, issued by the consulting firm MZ Consult, are worldwide acknowledged because they are compiled by an independent committee of auditors, financial consultants, and investment bankers.
