Barbour ABI Supports Local Charity - KIND
Children's charity KIND received an early Christmas present this week from staff at a Cheshire Oaks based company, Barbour ABI. They will be presenting the charity with a donation for their 35th Annual KIND Christmas Appeal instead of sending Christmas cards.
- (1888PressRelease) December 23, 2010 - KIND helps thousands of families across Merseyside to enjoy Christmas. KIND supports families who don't have the resources to spend on the things that many of us take for granted during the season of goodwill.
The charity is often pioneering new and imaginative ways to help families cope with many forms of disadvantage. Teams of volunteers, including staff from Barbour ABI, will be packing hampers with food and toys then distributing them across the borough.
Stephen Yip, KIND Chief Executive and founder says: "This is a fantastic gesture from Barbour ABI and we thank them for all their hard work. This has been a very difficult year for the charity but thanks to the support of friends like those at Barbour ABI, we have managed to continue with all of our services to those children and families in need."
Last year over 7,500 disadvantaged children and families had a happier and less stressful time thanks to support from KIND. It is true to say that without that support most would have had no Christmas at all. Donations or support can make a real difference at this very special time of the year to thousands of young lives.
