Bank Audi Jordan Extends R&M Partnership with Network Cabling Contract for New Head Office in Amman
R&M Middle East, Turkey & Africa will supply and install CAT6, CAT6A and OM3 FO cabling with enhanced security features for mission-critical network infrastructure.
- (1888PressRelease) February 06, 2013 - AMMAN, Jordan: Swiss structured cabling specialist Reichle & De-Massari (R&M) Middle East, Turkey and Africa has been awarded the contract to supply and install the network cabling infrastructure for Bank Audi Jordan's new head office in Abdali, Amman.
R&M will supply and install an end-to-end cabling solution consisting of R&M CAT6, CAT6A and OM3 fiber-optic cabling connected to the R&M global rack, which supports up to 60 CAT6 RJ45 connectors or 120 OM3 fiber-optic connections. Occupying just 3U space, R&M's global rack offers the winning combination of high-performance with space and cost savings. The new infrastructure will enable 10 GbE connectivity and enhance security though measures which prevent the unauthorized plugging and un-plugging of patch cords from patch panels and faceplates.
Mr. Yousef Ensour, General Manager of Bank Audi, stated "The opening of the new head office translates the bank's policy of facilitating services for its clients wherever they are -- something that stems from the concept of providing services and banking products across larger areas through extensive geographic exposure. Our effectiveness in this endeavor is very much dependent on the technology that drives our business."
"The reason for our strong partnership has been the Swiss quality and performance of R&M's cabling solutions, supported by the top-class service provided by their local office in Jordan. As a financial institution, IT security is a pivotal requirement. Thanks to R&M, we have one of the best and most secure IT infrastructures among Jordanian banks," he added.
Bank Audi Jordan provides retail-banking services and maintains a strong emphasis on corporate and commercial banking. Over the past seven years, the bank has been engaged in major restructuring efforts that consist of widening its network, developing its IT and electronic banking infrastructures, and diversifying its products and services. R&M Middle East, Turkey & Africa and Bank Audi Jordan have established a long-standing relationship with the Swiss cabling specialist, having already successfully completed installations at a number of the bank's branches in the country. The newly signed contract will further extend this mutually beneficial partnership.
Mr. Mohammad Sweidan, Area Manager at R&M Middle East, Turkey & Africa said, "Being awarded this contract is an opportunity for us to further develop what has already been a successful relationship. Bank Audi's IT team is already well-trained and familiar with R&M products, which is why we have been able to work together so efficiently through the design, planning and implementation phases. We look forward to successfully completing this project and working with Bank Audi in all their future endeavors."
