BangkokTennis.net 'Senior Series' Enters Fifth Year with Expanded Schedule

- (1888PressRelease) January 10, 2015 - Bangkok, Thailand - In their fifth consecutive year, the BT.Net 'Senior Series' will provide singles match play opportunities for adult tennis players, at their respective skill levels, in 'knock out' tournament competitions which also include 'consolation' rounds. Participants join from all walks of life and levels of ability.
"Tennis is a more enjoyable experience when players of similar playing ability are matched against one another, especially on the singles court," emphasizes tournament organizer Frank Miller. "We've gained so much enjoyment from the positive experiences of players at every event. We're pleased to offer these opportunities and equally grateful for the community support that we have received."
Beginning in late 2009 a handful of Bangkok senior (35+) tennis players gathered for singles match play competition using the USTA (United States Tennis Association) 'Player Rating' definitions in a Round Robin format. Within a year over 70 players, both men and women, were competing in four 'skill level' categories at the BT.Net 'Senior Series'. Consolation rounds have remained a standard item and have provided considerable value for participants who continue to challenge themselves in singles match play on a regular basis.
The 'Series' now includes six categories for the coming 2015 Season: (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5). Further information on skill level definitions as well as comparative analysis of various player rating systems used throughout the world are available at the BangkokTennis website.
The BT.Net 'Senior Series' remains the only singles match play tournament series for adults in the SEA region and continues to gain in popularity. Hundreds of skill level rated tennis players have joined the events from throughout the Bangkok metro area as well as those who visit Thailand seasonally.
Events are held from 1100-1500 hrs on scheduled weekend dates at Sakolpan Sport Club, a four court facility in the Phra Khanong Nuea district with restaurant, swimming pool, locker rooms, badminton courts, fitness area, hair salon, massage & spa.
