Baltimore Washington Eye Center wishes to remind area residents who withheld Pre-Tax Flex Plan funds from their paycheck in 2015 for Bladeless LASIK, to use these funds or lose them at year end.
Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) September 16, 2015 - "These pre-tax flexible spending account plans are "use it or lose it" plans. Any amounts you do not use throughout the plan year will be forfeited, so it is very important to plan carefully," noted Jeff Trimmer Practice Administrator at Baltimore Washington Eye Center. "This is why this time of year our eye surgeons like to remind patients who have these funds to schedule a LASIK consultation, find out if they are a good candidate and arrange a treatment date that works into their schedule."
"This was a transitional year in that the flexible spending limits were new, along with lots of new insurance rules. This really was confusing for patients to figure out how to use the FSA benefit from Flex Plans for LASIK. At Baltimore Washington Eye Center we just held all of our Bladeless LASIK fees and costs to patients at $1995 per eye. This makes it simple and affordable for those wanting Bladeless LASIK since by having the $2500 maximum annual contribution withheld through payroll deduction pre tax, most patients actually get a benefit that only leaves a few hundred dollars to be paid out of pocket," explained Mr. Trimmer.
