BAJobs.com Announces Winners of the Bay Area Top Employer Contest
Local Job Board Honors Companies That Put Their Employees First.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) May 19, 2011 - Following the careful judging of the very close contest, BAJobs.com has announced the winners of their annual BAJobs.com Top Employer Contest. Winners of the contest were determined by employee nomination. The contest, which was free to enter, collected data about the benefits and perks offered by companies with a significant presence in the San Francisco Bay Area. Marketing Director Skye Callan says, "We were on a quest to honor the best place to work in the Bay Area. What better way to find out how a business treats its employees than to ask the employees directly?"
Employees were enthusiastic to talk about the things they loved best about their workplace, and in the end, ten companies were selected to be awarded, along with two very close runner-ups. "More than anything else," reports Assistant Marketing Manager Mitch Kocen, "this contest shows that even in tighter economic times, companies are still going out of their way to make their company stand out and treat their employees right." Adds Callan, "These perks are excellent ways to retain existing employees and draw new ones in."
Winners of the contest are awarded a customized badge for display on their career websites. Kocen reveals another perk for making it into the top ten: "Serious bragging rights. The site has a reputation for quality. The award will resonate with local job seekers."
