Bajaj Allianz Junior Football Camp Season III : 5 boys selected for International Football Camp in Munich, Germany
Five talented kids - Akshay Sharma (Chandigarh), Jibin Devassy (Kerala), Lalremruata (Aizwal), Akash Mandal (Kolkata) and Gobinda Kar (Bardhaman) have been selected amongst the 135 finalists from across the country to represent India at the international Allianz Junior Football Camp to be held in Munich, Germany in association with FC Bayern Munich in August.
- (1888PressRelease) July 31, 2012 - In addition, three most promising players from each of the teams - Chandigarh Warriors, Delhi Dribblers, Kerala Komets, Pune Phantoms, Hyderabad Havoks, Bangalore Burners Mumbai Movers and the East and North East - were awarded cash prizes worth Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively on the basis of their performance during the activity.
Three most promising players representing Mumbai were awarded cash prizes, as follows:
• Sohail Khatri- Rs. 50000
• Ansari Uzair- Rs.25000
• Atharva Kapse- Rs. 15000
The winners in Pune were selected on the basis of their superior football skills by an eminent panel of judges comprising of Beto (the flamboyant Brazilian forward currently with Churchill Bros in the I League; one of the finest foreigners to have played in India) and Arata Izumi (superstar Japanese midfielder, currently with Pune FC). In the East zone finale, the jury comprised of Anjan Kumar Mitra (Hon.General Secretary, Mohun Bagan) and Kalyan Chaubey, Former International Goalkeeper & Current Head - Youth evelopment, Mohun Bagan
The winners were felicitated by Subrat Mohanty (Head of Sales, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance), Rituraj Bhattacharjee (Head-Market Management, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance) and the rest of the jury.
The National Finals in Pune took place over a span of three days starting from 27th July wherein each of the 7 teams competed against each other while the East zone finale was a result of a selection process in Kolkata and other cities that began from 14th June with 20,000 students from 400 schools taking part across the East and North East of India.

The final matches against the seven teams from across the country have been very exciting and are a testimonial to the quality of football talent all over. The Junior Football Camp is organized in association with Allianz, the official partner of FC Bayern Munich. The camp is held in Munich, Germany in August 2012 and gives teenagers from across the world between the ages of 14-16 years the opportunity to meet and train with the legendary FC Bayern Munich coaches on the club's official training ground. They would also get a chance to attend a match at Allianz Arena, the unique football stadium and meet football stars from FC Bayern Munich like Thomas Mueller, Bastian Schweinsteiger and others.
