Involving both a trade show and a business convention, B.I.G. Talents is the only business event of its kind in France that is devoted to biotech, IT and greentech (B.I.G.). The event will take place from 14 to 15 November 2012 at the Rouen Exhibition Centre, in Rouen (North-Western France).
- (1888PressRelease) September 27, 2012 - From 14 to 15 November of this year, B.I.G. Talents will bring together the B.I.G. technology players in biotech, IT and greentech, who are behind many of the technological advances and innovations in industry. The event, which will take place in the Rouen Exhibition Centre, in Rouen (in Haute Normandie), just one hour from the French capital, will provide companies looking for innovative solutions with the opportunity to meet future R&D partners, to initiate projects and to secure funding.
B.I.G. Talents will host a trade show during which the biotechnology, IT and green-technology exhibitors will present their innovative products and services, as well as solutions for project funding.
B.I.G. Talents will feature confidential B2B meetings where suppliers of innovative solutions will demonstrate their know-how to contractors and entities offering support and funding. Participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives from a host of companies, including Orange, Renault, Janssen-Cilag, GDF Suez and Thales, along with other major partners of B.I.G. Talents 2012.
The B.I.G. Talents event will also offer a comprehensive conference programme on such topics as open innovation or innovative-project funding. On 14 November, renowned French economist Elie Cohen will speak at the B.I.G. Talents conference. Elie Cohen will share his expertise by presenting risks and opportunities stemming from the European economic and financial crisis: a better understanding of the situation is vital to businesses seeking a competitive advantage in the current climate.
A French geneticist with an established reputation, Axel Kahn, for his part, will attend B.I.G. Talents on 15 November: the scientist will make a presentation entitled Science and Humanism, providing participants with an opportunity to engage in a dialogue about this key issue.
Additionally, there will be theme-focused side events organised by business channels and clusters of excellence based in Normandy, such as the awards ceremony of the Institut national de la propriété industrielle (or INPI, the French National Industrial Property Institute), business-and-PhD-student meetings, as well as innovative-technology demonstrations.
