AwesomeKnitwear.com has launched an online store to make available to the public items that have been hand crocheted by the artist Natalia Rogovskaya. The site features galleries with enlarged views of Ms. Rogovskaya's works, including a movie page for 360º views. There are abundant selections of baby hats, lapdog jackets, iPad bags, adult knitwear, handmade toys and luxury lace housewares.

The brainstorm of Natalia Rogovskaya, an émigré from Russia and permanent resident residing in Northern NJ, AwesomeKnitwear.com is the vehicle through which the crochet artist introduces her amazing creations and offers the handmade goods for sale at affordable prices.
Visitors can view a broad array of crocheted goods, all fashioned by Ms. Rogovskaya, herself. There are 54 handcrafted baby hats, an assortment of iPad Bags, designer lapdog jackets and adult knitwear - featuring fashionable hats, scarves, shawls, cowls and sportbands; adding to the excitement are wonderful crocheted toys and a luxury line of fine, masterfully crafted lace made in the Old World Russian tradition.
"The lace tablecloths generally take me more than 300 hours of labor to crochet by hand, using a 1.5 mm crochet hook", Ms. Rogovskaya says, adding, "It is difficult work, requiring much concentration, dexterity and determination. You must love your craft to do this." To see these heirloom quality masterpieces it is readily apparent why Russian crocheted lace has been treasured in the West since the 16th Century. Ms. Rogovskaya began knitting and crocheting from an early age, having learned the hook and needle arts from her grandmother. In Russia she made caps, jackets, curtains, tablecloths and centerpieces. She refined her art with more advanced technical studies.
"With the baby hats I wished to bring my art craft into the 21st Century. I love making them. I wanted to make these hats exciting, so in addition to providing important head protection to babies in their first year of life, the hats encourage interaction with the infants from an early age and that is very important to their development," Natalia says. The baby hats are offered in four sizes, from newborn through 12 months of age. A movie page offers 360° views.
"I want to make affordable, beautiful and practical things that people can use everyday," Natalia says.
