About the Author
Certified executive pastry chef Alain Braux has worked in the food industry for more than 40 years. From baking a 600-person cake for Lena Horne's 65th birthday to making cakes for Hollywood movies, he also owned his own French bakery and café in Austin. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in holistic nutrition, is a certified executive pastry chef with the American Culinary Federation and a certified master baker with the Retail Bakers of America. He is the recipient of two gold and three silver medals in food competitions. Chef Braux currently lives in Austin, where he is the executive chef at Peoples Pharmacy and in private practice as a nutritherapist at A Votre Santé.
