A team of experts from AVI Global Plast has designed and created face shields that can protect Healthcare professionals like Doctors, Nurses and support staff, Staff in testing labs, Bank Staff, Patients, Retail Staff, Policemen, people in an office environment and General citizens from this life-threatening disease.

The Managing Director of AVI Global Plast, Mr.AkhileshBhargava said, “Although there is enough equipment available, we fear we may soon fall short of protective gear.” He further explained,” Learning from the shortcomings of other countries where the stock of protective equipment is depleting, I believe its the perfect time to introduce ‘PRIME’ Face Shields and limit the spread of the virus. Each shield is made from PET material with an Anti-fog Coating, it can conveniently fit over spectacles and face masks and has an adjustable headband that allows for a comfortable fit.

What makes these face shields efficient is that it completely covers the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth offering full protection and ensuring zero chance of transmission. They also provide clear visibility and maximum mobility to the wearer. Another noteworthy aspect of the face shield is that they can be reused after an easy sanitization process.

SukhdeepSethi, the Director of AVI Global Plast said, “The design of ‘PRIME’ Face Shields cover all guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Government of India. He also added, ”Currently, we are producing 30,000 shields a day. However, we can achieve a scale of production of 50,000 pieces per day with the help of our existing infrastructure of European machines. We are working round the clock to ramp up capacity and produce more face shields for almost everyone in the country."

The company manufactured and supplied over 400,000 shields in April’20, the company has further donated over 15000 shields to Municipal hospitals, government agencies, waste workers and citizens. The company has also actively supported project SKAR which is an initiative by Kids from Mumbai city who are distributing face shields free of cost to various front line workers across Mumbai city, Daman, Pune, Baroda, and Delhi.
