Avery Brewing's Move Accelerates Savory Cuisines' New Take-out Business
One of Boulder's Largest Caterers Buys Building, Remodels Kitchens,
Upgrades Menu With Gourmet Pizza, Burgers.
- Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) April 10, 2015 - Savory Cuisines, one of Boulder's largest catering companies, enjoyed a five-year relationship with its neighbor, the Avery Brewing Tap Room, developing award-winning menus and a brisk side business serving Avery employees who could simply step across the alley and order sandwiches and pizza from the Savory kitchen next door.
With their expansion from local microbrewery to a national brand, Avery Brewing outgrew its space and recently moved into its new, $27-million facility north of town. Savory Cuisines took the opportunity to buy the building at 5741 Arapahoe to grow this legacy. Owner Bob Sargent is excited about what lies ahead. "We're now focusing on our own take-out menu, expanding our kitchen and increasing our catering capabilities."
Sargent today announced Savory Burgers & Pies, a New York-Style pizza, sandwich and burger take-out and delivery service. Savory's success has allowed Sargent to not only purchase, but to also renovate Savory's 7,500-square-foot building, fueling the upgrade with new state-of-the-art kitchen and two triple-stack pizza ovens. "Everyone has always raved about our handcrafted pizza," said Sargent. "It seemed like the perfect next step, and the chance to extend our catering take-out menus with pizza, burgers and additional international gourmet items such as Thai Basil and Mango Serrano Chicken Wings."
To celebrate the expansion, Savory Cuisines will be hosting a Grand Opening at their newly renovated facility on April 30th from 6-9pm. The evening will include Savory's culinary fare, wine from B-Town, beer from Avery, spirits from J&L Distillery and music from Boulder's Sunshine Star Route. For invitations, please contact Bob Sargent at the numbers below.
"Bob is a great entrepreneur as evidenced by his ability to adapt and thrive in a changing business environment," said local marketing firm owner John Metzger of Metzger Albee Public Relations. "For larger corporate events in particular, Boulder needs this variety, and Bob's experience and training as a chef in 12 countries adds to the international flair and variety of cuisine that he's bringing to the catering table, and now to his new take-out menu."
