Since 2008, AutoStar has hosted the Innovate conference as a way to train its users in practical software techniques, and prepare them for recent and future changes in the independent automotive and buy here pay here industries.
"Our goal at last year's conference was to intensify the product training and give attendees a sizable return on investment," said Allen Dobbins, President and CEO of AutoStar Solutions. "This year, our intention is to renew our focus on training and expand our classes to include current events in the industry."
With the passage of the Dodd-Frank Act and the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, there are many potential regulatory developments on the horizon for independent auto dealers who largely rely on in-house financing. Furthermore, the rate of technology advancement is at an all time high, creating a need for intense software training. With Innovate 2012, AutoStar looks to stimulate the industry with relevant and timely training.

AutoStar has announced several changes from the previous year's event. Perhaps most significant are the new tracks which focus classes on areas that are vital to the buy here pay here industry including a focus on compliance for the first time since the event's creation. In addition to these new tracks and classes, the previous year's tech labs have been revamped to include hands-on lessons that attendees can apply at their dealerships immediately.
Innovate 2012 boasts appearances and keynote discussions from several key players in the industry including Ken Shilson, the President of the National Alliance of Buy Here Pay Here Dealers (NABD), and Brent Carmichael of NCM Associates. Innovate 2012 will also host a number of technology partners who will present attendees with new approaches to current and future issues.
