Automated Folder Gluers: A Core Focus at SinoFoldingCarton 2011
The carton gluers used locally fall into two categories: semi-automatic and automatic.
- (1888PressRelease) June 23, 2011 - As China's carton packaging industry continues its rapid development, carton manufacturers are attaching greater importance to post-processing. Gluing technology, as part of the folding carton manufacturing process, came into use several years ago. Today, processing methods long used in Europe and the US have now been adopted in China.
The carton gluers used locally fall into two categories: semi-automatic and automatic. Automatic carton gluers are rapidly gaining in popularity because the technology they are based on significantly improves production efficiency. Indeed, a single carton gluer can match the capacity of three stitchers.
With the automatic carton gluer, all functions, including inserting the paperboard, folding, gluing, pressing, reshaping and strapping, are completed without human input. This has the benefit of reducing labor costs and boosting efficiency. When cut into shape, paper boxes are dispatched after folding and stitching has been performed.
For small order numbers, folding and gluing can be done manually. For orders that run into the thousands, or even tens of thousands, automation is crucial. Therefore, equipment with higher levels of automation is in urgent demand. If semi automatic gluers are used, paper must be manually folded piece by piece. Additionally the semi-automatic machine's capacity is just 40 to 50 pieces a minute. This does not satisfy the need for fast production.
The automatic inline flexo die cutter folder gluer (commonly referred to as the In-Line) trebles production speed to 120-150 pieces per minute. However, this machine is only suitable for the production of large batches, due to its high price. Small and medium-sized companies usually don't consider purchasing such equipment. To solve this problem, suppliers have developed an automatic gluer with a speed of over 80 pieces a minute. Printed and slotted paper boxes are piled on the automatic gluer's paper feeding plate for the paper feeding, gluing, folding, counting and ejection processes. In this way, a batch of paper boxes are stacked and ejected together. Since this process is fully automated, it is also very efficient.
Every year, SinoFoldingCarton keeps fully abreast of current issues affecting the folding carton trade. Based on industry trends, the show brings together suppliers and manufacturers of folding carton equipment, as well as consumables manufacturers, to an annual event where visitors can learn about new developments in gluing technology through the products showcased by well-known local and international gluer suppliers.
Renowned post processing manufacturers like Hongjing, Chengyuan, Jiajie, Xinlian, Chengming and Jiayi, are set to feature new products at the show. In addition to displaying their latest gluing technologies, the exhibitors will also provide carton-gluing solutions to trade visitors. We look forward to seeing you at SinoFoldingCarton 2011, the unique and most unmissable trade show on the folding carton industry's calendar.
