Author's Second Book In The Spellbound Trilogy, A Taste For Magic, Serves Up A Darker Tale
Author releases his second young adult, supernatural book. Book two tells a darker tale of magic, centering on a family bond and obsession with life and death.
- (1888PressRelease) October 01, 2015 - A Taste for Magic, the second book of the young adult, supernatural trilogy by author Tom E Cantillon, has recently become available on Amazon's Kindle Store. A Taste for Magic continues the saga of Will and Sienna, the two teens introduced in A Spell on You, but delves deeper into the dramatic backstory of Shard, Oletta and the book of white magic Shard is after.
"I felt it was crucial to tell the story of Shard and Oletta, to let readers know exactly what happened that set things into motion and why the book of spells is so important. It's a much darker story than A Spell on You, but also one that gives readers insight into these two characters," Mr. Cantillon states.
"Although magic and the supernatural play heavily throughout the trilogy, the stories, more importantly, are about the special bond shared between family members and loved ones. That bond can motivate individuals to be adventurous and courageous, or troubled and destructive, as is revealed in the trilogy," Mr. Cantillon says about the books.
Fans of Edgar Allan Poe, Clive Barker or Ray Bradbury's darker stories, will find that the first two books offer many genuinely frightening moments, while the human aspect gives the characters a universal appeal.
The author is currently working on the third book of the trilogy, Casting Souls, which is scheduled to come out next year, as well as another novel entitled Ghostdown. Both will be available on Amazon's Kindle Store.
