Eli's Adventure, a new book in the Bunner Bear Farms series by Tom Montana, helps children understand the basic Christian tenet of loving one another, which makes Eli's Adventure a special addition to any child's Easter basket.
(1888PressRelease) March 02, 2012 - Frisco, Texas - Author and illustrator Tom Montana announces the release of Eli's Adventure, the first book in his Bunner Bear Farms Series. Tom's full-color illustrations and rhyming text have been carefully crafted to appeal to children, 4 to 9 years of age. The book's simple language and pictures help children understand the basic Christian tenet of loving one another, which makes Eli's Adventure a special addition to any child's Easter basket.
"The purpose of Eli's Adventure and the future books in the series is two-fold," said Tom. "First, I want to provide parents with appropriate stories and messages to teach their children important Christian values and concepts. Second, proceeds from the book's sales are given to Love By Action, a non-profit organization that supports children living in poverty and the community of Mathare Valley, Kenya. Its website is http://lovebyaction.org."
Tom added that a check for $1,000 from the sale of Eli's Adventure was presented to Love By Action during December 2011, which was the first donation of his goal of $10,000 in total contributions from the book.
Eli's Adventure is a story about Eli, a cute bunny that resides at Bunner Bear Farms. It's a wonderful place that provides Eli with everything he needs to live a full life: wide-open spaces, pretty flowers and all the clover he can eat. Eli is also a smart bunny that understands that God has made many wonderful places in the world. Although Eli would love to stay in his comfortable home, he decides to travel the world to see other places. He also wants to help others improve their lives with compassion and the loving spirit of Jesus.
Eli finally arrives at Sombo, a village of bunnies that don't live as well as he does back home. Eli meets Chewy, a bunny from the village, and helps him to become more joyful by giving him a Bible. Eli also feels happier and returns home knowing he has shared the loving message of Jesus with Chewy.
Future titles in the Bunner Bear Farms Series include Well, well…Whales! (2012), Stewy's Tea Party (2013), Boo Bears (2013) and Merry Christmas Bunner Bears! (2014).
