Author Feather Schwartz Foster Featured on WCVE (PBS) Virginia Currents
AUthor Feather Schwartz Foster will make an appearance on WCVE Public Television "Virginia Currents" show.
- Richmond-Petersburg, VA (1888PressRelease) May 21, 2011 - Williamsburg author Feather Schwartz Foster will be featured on a segment of "Virginia Currents" when it airs on WCVE-TV on Thursday, May 26 at 8 PM. WCVE is a Public Broadcasting Station affiliate based in Richmond, Virginia. Ms. Foster's latest book is entitled "The First Ladies: An Intimate Portrait of the Women Who Shaped America." For the segment, Ms. Foster, and "Virginia Currents" interviewer May-Lily Lee discussed three First Ladies with strong Virginia ties: Martha Washington, Dolley Madison and Julia Tyler.
Other Virginia PBS affiliates will air the program at various times later in the month or in early June. The program will also be available at the WCVE Website at the beginning of June.
Feather Foster is a regular lecturer at both the Christopher Wren Society for William & Mary, and the Lifelong Learning Programs at Christopher Newport University. She has also made an guest speaker appearance at the Hennage Auditorium of the DeWitt Wallace Museum in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Mrs. Foster, a New Jersey native and now Williamsburg resident, has spent more than four decades as an independent Presidential scholar, specializing in the "personal" side of First Ladies. "The First Ladies" is her fourth book.
