Australian Timeshare Owners Applaud DAE Initiative
Timeshare owners around Australia have applauded Australian holiday exchange provider, DAE, for their highly successful introduction of Timeshare Owner Awareness Sessions in conjunction with Independent Resorts.
- (1888PressRelease) December 19, 2013 - A total of 17 sessions were hosted by DAE together with 14 Independent Resorts around the country - with the 'roadshow' travelling to Newcastle, Toowoomba, Townsville, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, Sydney, Geelong, Melbourne, Adelaide, Mildura and Perth.
Over 2000 timeshare owners attended the sessions, which were primarily to educate and engage owners on how to best use their product and take advantage of the many options available to them through their holiday ownership.
Sessions covered topics such as the evolution of timeshare, as well as the economic impact of the timeshare industry on the Australian economy, and Independent Resort's informed owners about improvements and changes to their Resorts.
Initiating the Australian-first sessions with Resorts, DAE Australia and New Zealand Business Development Manager, Gary Fog said the events proved highly beneficial for owners and their families.
"The awareness sessions were very much about educating and engaging owners and their families - the next generation of owners - so they too have a broader understanding of what timeshare is about," said Mr Fog.
"As timeshare has evolved over the years, many new products and services are now available to owners to further enhance their holiday experiences that may not have been around when they first purchased.
"These sessions gave us an opportunity to provide a breakdown of exchange and how we at DAE work for our members to bring great holiday benefits to them and their families."
"It is imperative that we are engaging the next generation of owners to secure the longer term future of the industry. With an aging owner base, their children and siblings are next in line to take hold of the family's holiday ownership."
With full attendance at the events throughout November and December, DAE are already looking at ways to improve and expand the reach of the informative sessions in the future.
"Following the highly successful Australian program, DAE are certainly looking at other territories to launch and promote this initiative," said Mr Fog.
"There were many more owners that wanted to attend but had prior commitments, so we are also looking at using technology such as webinars to reach out to the owners that can't make the face to face sessions; ensuring everyone can access the information we are providing through our owner events."
The Timeshare Owner Awareness Sessions received 100% positive feedback from participants.
