  • (1888PressRelease) December 09, 2010 - Australian company, Fleet Logistics Pty Ltd, trading as EZY2C, today announced its substantial overseas expansion plans. The company has opened offices in Zimbabwe and Botswana and has plans to open offices in the coming year in South East Asia and North America. A number of new sales, technical and support staff have been employed in all offices to meet the growing demand for GPS Tracking Services.

Branded as Ezytrack in Africa, the company are now exporting between 100 to 200 units every month to the region. The main business drivers in Southern Africa is vehicle and cargo security as well as monitoring of drivers routes. Grant Weare, Managing Director of Ezytrack Zimbabwe says "companies are getting an almost instant payback on their investment through improved efficiencies and control over their drivers. After an exhaustive search for a robust product for our market we found Ezy2c in Australia and have entered into an equity arrangement with them in Zimbabwe - it gives us best of breed products and the ability to customise the product to suit our market".

Despite the economic uncertainty being experienced globally, EZY2C CEO Evan Penn, has expressed an optimistic view on the GPS space, "the real benefit in GPS Tracking is that it saves businesses money and increases productivity and business efficiencies". Its times like these that businesses need to keep closer tabs on staff's movements from a productivity and client service point of view.

Fleet Logistics client Peter Dawson of Dawson's Removals (Bathurst NSW) states, "We can locate our vehicles positions on customer's request's without the need of numerous phone calls. Personalized maps are a feature. Better communications through the in vehicle messaging system. Fleet Logistics gives us more control over wages, fatigue and vehicle maintenance".

The cost of GPS tracking technology, like most other technologies has fallen dramatically over the past few years. Solutions that used to cost thousands of dollars now costs hundreds of dollars. The Return on Investment therefore has become very rapid.

Robert Blanchard, Chief Executive Officer of Herb Blanchard Haulage (Grafton NSW), a long standing client of Fleet Logistics says "Fleet Logistics has enabled our company to monitor our heavy vehicle fleet by GPS 24/7. In today's environment being able to work with a progressive, innovative provider of these services, has helped us to improve our fleet operational efficiency and regulatory compliance obligations"

As the technology costs have fallen, it has become more affordable now for smaller fleets of cars, vans and trucks to benefit from monitoring their vehicle movements. Start time, stop time, route planning, speeding reports, all position reports and live online mapping of vehicles is all standard. Firth goes on to say "our client profile has changed dramatically as the affordability has increased. We started out servicing the trucking industry with GPS Satellite Tracking but now have clients from plumbers, electricians, councils, air-conditioning contractors to couriers and removalists.

The fact that the software technology is all developed and managed in Australia means that clients can get customised solutions that suit their specific needs. For example a number of mining clients are using Fleet Logistics new EZ263s Next G and Satellite Solution allowing them to monitor vehicle movements in remote areas.
