Australian Investors Urged To Take Advantage of Increase in Incoming Foreign Investment Funds
Rick Otton introduces investing strategies to aid disenfranchised local investors to take an active role in the Australian property market.
- (1888PressRelease) July 19, 2012 - Australia was not exempted from the effects of the global economic downturn, but incoming foreign investment in the country's property market has helped buffer the effects of the crisis. That is why property expert Rick Otton urges Australians to be more vigilant and active in property investing. It is a good opportunity, said he, to get a solid property investing boot camp experience.
"Australia's economy has been spared the ugly effects of the economic crisis, all thanks to the steady foreign investments coming in. We were lucky compared to our neighbors, we were saved by foreign investments," Mr. Otton explained. He added that most of the property investment come from Asia, specifically pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and REITS.
"A steady influx of property investment funds means that investment conditions in our country are profitable. If foreign investors are confident enough to invest here, then what's keeping us from taking advantage of our own economy?" he said. "In fact, the previous six months has shown that foreign investors has collected $3.7 billion in Australian real estate," he added.
Rick Otton has been teaching property investment secrets for Aussies for the last 10 years, and continues to help investors create their own property portfolio with very little cash and definitely no banks. Recently, he has launched his book 'How To Buy A House For A Dollar' which is a collection of the strategies Mr. Otton developed over the years.
"It is disappointing to see potential investors stuck in their deals or potential buyers unable to buy their own house just because they can't get a loan or they can't save up enough deposit. The reason why overseas investors take advantage of our property market is because we don't know where to get the money to fund our investment. Just imagine what local investors can do if they're given the opportunity or power to buy and sell houses with only $1!" said Mr. Otton.
Mr. Otton has also felt the struggle to meet the requirements of traditional lenders, which led him to formulate his own property techniques minus the banks. He has developed these strategies during the S&L Crisis in Texas during 1991, where loans were impossible and cash was scarce. Since then, Mr. Otton has been helping fellow investors get their bearing in the property market by sharing investment property tips for beginners. This year, he has released his real estate book as part of his efforts in improving local property investment.
"The book covers a lot of topics including how to start your property investing career and how to generate positive cash flow even for negative-geared properties. For those who are interested to learn more about creative real estate investing, we'll be going around conducting series of free one-day seminars in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland this coming August," he announced.
