Australian DoD explores SatCom requirements and future procurement plans
Australian DOD Head of ICT Operations to present keynote at the 2nd MilSatCom USA Conference in June.
- (1888PressRelease) May 03, 2017 - Air Vice Marshall Andrew Dowse, Head of ICT Operations (HICTO), Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) of the Australian Department of Defense will be speaking at the 2nd annual MilSatCom USA on June 28 & 29, 2017 in Arlington, VA.
Air Vice Marshall Dowse will present a keynote on Day Two of the conference. With a focus on optimising future US MilSatCom capabilities through comprehensive collaboration and cooperation, he will further expound on providing greater flexibility for modern warfare and enhancing MilSatCom capabilities for the Australian Defence Force.
His presentation will cover the importance of SatCom to Australia given its relation to the maritime domain as well as the key requirements from the Australian Defence White Paper of February 2016. He will also discuss the future role of WGS and ComSatCom moving forward and the organisation's procurement plans from present to 2029.
Air Vice Marshall Dowse joins a stellar lineup of speakers including key government and military personnel from the US Army, US Air Force, US Department of Defense, US NorthCom, NATO NCIA, DISA, DARPA; as well as key industry experts from Airbus Defence and Space, Hughes Network Systems and more.
