Australia's X&Y Bar to host Emergenza on June 30, 2013
Brisbane's X&Y Bar will host the Emergenza Rock Festival for up and coming unsigned bands on Sunday June 30, 2013.
- (1888PressRelease) May 31, 2013 - The X&Y Bar is located at 648 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The X&Y Bar is a live music venue and popular piece of Brisbane's history. Bar owners call the bar ' old school, where there is no judgment of labels, shoe brands or hairstyles. The staff, the patrons and the venue all kick back, relax and enjoy the company of each other, the way it used to be in the Valley when businessmen, tradies and queens sat alongside each other and there was no judgment.'
The X&Y Bar showcases live music seven days a week. Graffiti on the walls show that the building is a 'willing canvas' for the areas artists. The bar is well known for showcasing unknown and up and coming artists.
On June 30th seven bands will hit the stage for thirty minute sets of original music in hopes of moving on to the next step in the Emergenza Rock Festival. The nights bands include; alternative rock band Barrellfish, blues rock band The Rouse, rock band The Stained Angels, rock band NightoftheDay, rock alternative band Artisan Kin, post hardcore band What We Are Worth and fusion band F.O.O.D (Forged Out of Dust.)
Each band hopes to move on to Emergenza's finals that will be held on August 11, 2013 at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. The winning band will be crowned "The Best Band in the World." The winner of the international final is also rewarded an international distribution, a promotional campaign in 12 countries and a European tour fully coordinated and sponsored by the organization. For more information on the event or to sign up a band to play in one of the festivals venues visit www.emergenza.net.
