Australia's Pop Rock Band What It's Worth Aims For Victory Down Under at Emergenza
Australia's own What It's Worth will take to the stage on Sunday July 7th at Australia's the Lair as part of the Emergenza Rock Festival competition.
- (1888PressRelease) June 26, 2013 - Emergenza is a rock festival for up and coming, unsigned rock bands. The festival is held in knockout rounds. The first two rounds are judged by the attending audience and the finals are decided by a jury panel of judges.
What It's Worth is a pop punk/alternative rock band with a sound all of their own. The band consists of Bonnie Fraser on lead vocals and guitar, Arthur Taak'Ng on vocals and lead guitar, David Potter on bass and Jordan Jansons on drums.
They credit bands Blink-182, Green Day, Sun 41, All Time Low, New Found Glory and Fall Out Boy as influences on their sound.
Several years ago Bonnie and Arthur were two high school kids writing adolescent songs about the anguish of high school break-ups. Today What It's Worth is well on the way to becoming one of Australia's up and coming Pop Punk / Rock 4-bands
"Bonnie Fraser's heartfelt yet powerful Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitarist, Arthur 'Taak' Ng with his flawless fingers of fury, David Potter, executing unbeatable bass lines while Jordan Jansons on Drums keeps everything as steady as a heart beat. With the complimenting sounds of each member, What It's Worth create a distinctive style similar to a Missy Higgins, Yellowcard and Joan Jett as they catapult their way into the scene!"
Their first single Bulletproof Vest is showing huge promise. They will take to the stage at Australia's Lair in hopes of winning the finals and moving on to the international finals. The international finals will be held on August 11, 2013 in Germany at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. The winner is crowned "The Greatest Band in the World."
