Long established Sydney Singer and Composer, Nick Johns, has issued his first Album as a Digital product.
(1888PressRelease) December 03, 2009 - Sounding very similar to Jimmy Barnes, Nick Johns' strong voice, powerful vocal deliveries and heart felt songs, is about to become an International name as Australia's latest talent. "Transition" is about the movement from one position to another and is best summed up by the song "Path To Better Days".
Based on his own experiences, Nick has penned a selection of songs which carry messages of hope and insight that many listeners will gain from. Take "Same Book" for example. A Father tells his Son to stop blaming himself for his parents separation, noting that Father and SOn come from the same Book with different covers.
Nick's career started in his youth as a member of a Garage Band. It was something 'fun' to do and he never took it too seriously to start with but as time passed, his passions for music grew and he formed a number of like-minded friendships which lead to the forming of the Nick Johns Band. Today Nick still works as a solo Act and with the Band and can be seen 'live' in and around Sydney on a regular basis.
Tree Records signed Nick up mid year and issued "Transition" on November 20. It is already availabl;e at both iTunes and eMusic with more Digital Music Sites listing it over the Christmas period.
Nick's arrival at Tree sees the Label's desire to become an International Label move closer with Artists signed by Tree resident in Great Britain, Canada, United States, New Zealand and Australia.
Tree Records also inked a Global Digital Distribution contract with The Orchard in March 2009 and linked up with World Booking in October to provide an On-Line Artist Booking Service. The year was topped off with Levy Music Publishing signing Charles Harter and Neil Frances to their Publishing Company for Sync Opportunities. Charles and Neil penned all the songs on the Haystack Album "As We Appear".
