Australia's Muffin Break Debuts With First Outlet In New Delhi
Australian firm Foodco Group, today announced the entry of its bakery and cafe chain 'Muffin Break' in the Indian market through a partnership with South Asian Food & Hospitality Services Pvt. Ltd.
- (1888PressRelease) September 29, 2012 - Foodco Group has entered into a regional license partnership with SAFHS, which will operate Muffin Brand in India, Fitzgerald said.
"We always wanted to be in India. It is a large market but the challenge was to find the right partner, that was the key limitation," Foodco Group Executive Director Robert Fitzgerald
Under the partnership with South Asian Food & Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd (SAFHS), Muffin Break will open around 40 outlet in the next five years, he added.
SAFHS Chief Executive - Parvin Juneja states "The first cafe will receive a grand opening today at G.K in New Delhi". Later SAFHS will also sub-franchise the cafes," he added.
South Asian Food & Hospitality Pvt Ltd (SAFHPL), a subsidiary company of South Asian Hospitality Services Pvt. Ltd. (SAHSPL), set up in 2002, operates close to 54 restaurants across cities including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Ahmedabad and Pune.
Foodco Group started its operations in Australia in 1989 and presently has over 370 franchise business retail outlets across the world, trading through three brands -- Muffin Break, Jamaica Blue and Dreamy Donuts.
