- Austin-San Marcos, TX (1888PressRelease) March 17, 2015 - Austin-based women's health company, Groove, will be debuting the "Groovemobile" during SXSW Interactive 2015.
Passerbyers in downtown Austin will enjoy the Groovemobile's 1970s groove tunes like "Shake Your Groove Thing" and "Let's Groove". Groove's CEO, Jennifer Aldoretta, and CTO, Brian Smith, will be piloting the Groovemobile and handing out free, Groove-branded condoms and tampons to SXSW-goers to promote women's reproductive and sexual health.
Groove is a startup that provides information and tools-including the "Groove - Period & Fertility Tracker" for iPhone-to help women learn about how their bodies work and get in sync with their cycles. Groove believes that educating people about their bodies will ultimately lead them down a path of empowerment, and to a happier, healthier life.
"We're really excited about the opportunity to draw attention to such a vital topic that affects roughly half of the human population, all while having fun and shaking our groove things!" says Aldoretta. "Interacting with the amazing folks attending SXSW Interactive is going to be a great time."
The Groovemobile will hit the streets of Austin on Friday, March 13 and can be seen throughout SXSW Interactive, Film, and Music.
