DrumOrDie owner Mark Woodruff said the decision to extend into the overseas market was a natural one. "These drums were born in the United Kingdom from a small company's vision to make a portable drum kit that's strong and reliable, and truly sounds great," Woodruff said. "And, of course, there is a huge market there for drums that have a small footprint and can fit into tight spaces."

The Traps A400 drums were created by Kinks drummer Bob Henrit and engineer Nigel Robinson, who left the shell-less manufacturer Arbiter specifically to create a better shell-less drum kit. While the Traps drums have no shells and would otherwise appear to be a novelty, the drums consistently earn excellent reviews from professional drummers and drum magazines.
