Aurigo Software Technologies, a Bangalore based product and software solutions company that caters to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction domain, looks forward to expanding its presence in India through the establishment of a Public Sector Practice.
- (1888PressRelease) September 15, 2010 - Aurigo Software Technologies Inc, a leading software product company providing solutions for Capital Project and Program Management (CPMS) for Infrastructure Owners, Repeat Builders, General Contractors, PMC Firms and Ports worldwide, has announced that it has established a separate public sector practice in India.
Mr. Saurabh Bhardwaj, who has been appointed Director, Public Sector (India) at Aurigo will drive this practice and operate out of Aurigo's office at New Delhi. Mr. Bharadwaj comes with over 10 years of experience in enterprise technology consulting across verticals such as Insurance, Telecommunications, Railways and Public Sector. His prior engagements with CII, AIG and IBM give him the right mix of technology as well as public sector relation skills to spearhead this new initiative at Aurigo within India.
Mr. Balaji Sreenivasan, CEO and Founder of Aurigo Software Technologies, said, "India is growing at a tremendous pace, especially in terms of infrastructure development around Roads, Airports, Ports and Power Plants. The Indian government has allocated 46% of the budget towards infrastructure investment (for the FY 2010-2011) which amounts to Rs.1,735 billion. This number will only grow over the next 8-10 years as India builds out its Infrastructure in its serious bid to evolve as a developed nation. We have now established a separate Public Sector business practice in India to focus on the growing need for better control of infrastructure projects through real time and accurate information"
Mr. Sreenivasan further added "As Infrastructure projects in India come of age, stakeholders need solutions from Aurigo as they increase project visibility, enable better executive decision making and provide real-time reporting with digital data. These are very critical to maintain these projects profitable, have them adhere to the highest quality standards and complete them in a timely and cost effective manner."
Aurigo comes with a good deal of experience in selling extensively into US Public Sector including State and Local Government agencies, Mass Transit Authorities, k-12 Educational Institutions and large contract firms. Aurigo entered the India and Middle East markets in 2008, and its products and solutions have been very well received by the private sector construction and Infrastructure companies including NCC International, Al Subbei, Unity Infra Projects, Supreme Infra, RDS Projects, Navin Housing and SNC Power Corporation to name a few.
On Saurabh's appointment, Mr. Sreenivasan commented, "We are very excited to have Saurabh join us to spearhead Aurigo's India Public Sector practice and he comes with the right mix of skill sets. He will also be part of Aurigo's India Leadership Team. As part of his role, Saurabh will be responsible for driving Aurigo's entire public sector business practice in India and his team will address PSUs and Government Agencies both at the states and center."
