Auriga at the forefront of global software engineering service providers: ranking No.1 in the Black Book of Outsourcing's ESO list
Auriga, one of the Top 20 global outsourcing vendors according to 2010 Black Book of Outsourcing, is recognized as #1 Engineering Services Providers by Datamonitor, ahead of IBM, HP, Siemens and Dell.
- (1888PressRelease) June 25, 2011 - Woburn, MA, USA,- Auriga, a U.S.-based software R&D outsourcing services provider with development centers in Russia, has been ranked the No. 1 Engineering Services Outsourcing (ESO) provider worldwide in the Datamonitor's annual Black Book of Outsourcing (BBO) ESO Ranking issued this June. The study places Auriga ahead of industry players such as IBM, Dell, HP, HCL, Wipro, and Siemens.
Datamonitor's survey is specifically designed to capture customer satisfaction ratings from users of outsourced services across the globe. The outsourcing of engineering services is a growing segment within the broader outsourcing domain. The 2010 Black Book of Outsourcing survey is based on 6,547 survey responses from clients across various companies belonging to multiple industry sectors and providing their feedback on several vendors across numerous outsourcing domains. The ESO rankings are based on global responses received for the 2010 Black Book of Outsourcing survey wherein respondents indicated they were ranking providers of engineering services outsourcing (ESO). The services that fall under ESO are embedded systems design, research and development (R&D), quality management, 3D modeling, product assembly, product design, technical staffing and technical writing.
Ratings of global ESO service providers by overall satisfaction:
Service provider Average score
(Scale of 5.00)
1. Auriga 4.44
2. Atos Origin 4.40
3. Altran 4.20
4. HCL 4.14
5. Dell 3.89
6. Capgemini 3.71
7. HP 3.63
8. IBM 3.57
9. Siemens IT Solutions and Services 3.20
10. Wipro 2.83
Auriga's No.1 ranking places it at the forefront of the ESO industry, across a range of nine parameters including overall customer's satisfaction, financial benefits for the customer, requirements awareness, shared goals, and partnership approach.
The findings of the Datamonitor's report show that the skills and resources employed by vendors to serve clients are the most important criteria for assessing satisfaction with ESO delivery. The outsourcing of engineering services is a growing segment within the broader outsourcing domain, while R&D and product design are the most frequently outsourced engineering activities. The research has demonstrated that, unlike other business process outsourcing (BPO) services, ESO contracts require a high degree of partnership between vendors and clients.
The Black Book of Outsourcing has been published since 2004, and is widely recognized as the independent industry standard for measuring customer satisfaction in the global services industry. Clients use the Black Book of Outsourcing to determine strengths and weaknesses of individual vendors, establish industry benchmarks to determine desired satisfaction ratings, negotiate contract terms to ensure desired outcomes are achieved, and better understand trends in outsourcing satisfaction by service, industry and geography.
"We at the Black Book of Outsourcing would like to applaud Auriga for their high rankings in the survey." said Archi Dasgupta, Head of Research at Black Book of Outsourcing. "Clients have rated Auriga strongly for their ability to understand requirements, to provide financial benefits and to work in partnership. Auriga's future orientation was also highly rated by clients." he added.
"This ranking caps other Auriga insignia and serves as the best recognition of our constant efforts to provide top-notch services for our customers. It is our clients whom I want to thank for being such strong advocates of the work we do," said Andrei Pronin, Auriga General Manager.
