Attimo Group LLC (Whitebarrel Winery and Avila Scientific) announces names changes, changes in corporate structure, and expansion.
- Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford, VA (1888PressRelease) May 07, 2019 - Christiansburg, VA – Attimo Group LLC, which conducted business as (d/b/a) Whitebarrel Winery and Attimo Research announced today has changed its name and that it has changed its corporate structure. The new company name is Obiso Company LLC with doing business as (d/b/a) entities as follows:
- Whitebarrel Winery
- Whitebarrel Trading Post
- Blackbarrel Brewery
- Blackbarrel Distillery
- Avila Scientific
- Avila Herbals
The Company is poised to take advantage of multiple niche markets. Obiso Company co-owner Dr. Theresa Gallagher, says, "As one company we can act synergistically and more efficiently” Obiso Company co-owner Dr. Richard Obiso, says, "the officers of the company agreed to combine the companies, which represents a better value to investors. We are effectively maturing our business and moving in several specific areas”.
The combined company will still be headquartered in Christiansburg, with its main office at Whitebarrel Winery. The Whitebarrel Wine Bar in Blacksburg, and the Company’s properties in Floyd county will continue to house the other divisions of the Company.

The company will host an investors meeting on 15 May 2019 at Whitebarrel Winery (4025 Childress Road, Christiansburg, VA 24073). The Company will be making several different announcements over the next several weeks as we expand the business. The Obiso Company, LLC d/b/a Avila Herbals, Avila Scientific, Whitebarrel Winery, Whitebarrel Trading Post, Blackbarrel Brewery and Blackbarrel Distillery, will offer up to $1.25 million in convertible notes to expand the business. Using supercritical carbon dioxide exchange, the team will launch several hemp, CBD, and other herb-containing products later in 2019. The team has also developed lavender-infused and hop-infused wines, and herb infused vermouth, which will be launched under the Whitebarrel brand later this year. Avila Herbals is currently hiring multiple employees to work on its farms in both Montgomery and Floyd County Virginia. The Avila Herbals division will be launching a crowd-funding campaign later this year to parties interested in specialty, high-end vermouth.
About Blackbarrel Brewery
Blackbarrel Brewery was established in late 2017 with the mission to grow all of its ingredients to be a true nano-farm brewery in SW Virginia. The team has successfully grown barley and rye as cover crops in the vineyard and partnered with the Avila Herbals team to create a hop garden on the property. The team will be completing licensing in 2019 and will be launching different beer varieties at the winery location later this year. The team will specialize in barrel aged beer, small-batch IPA, stouts and porters. Blackbarrel will be hiring multiple employees later this year and will be launching a crowd-funding campaign later this year to complete operations.
About Blackbarrel Distillery
The Blackbarrel Distillery will specialize in grape spirit brandy as well as barrel-aged whiskey and botanical gins (in collaboration with the Avila Herbals division). Licensing for the distillery will be completed in the fall of 2019 in conjunction with the fall harvest. Blackbarrel will be hiring multiple employees later this year.

The Whitebarrel Trading Post works closely with each of the divisions of the Company to market and sell branded merchandise and other local products and to bridge retail products from regional gourmet foods such as cheeses, chocolates, breads, jams, jellies, honey, and other regionally-made products.
