Atlanta Workshop Players Presents Broadway - Lights Monday, Oct 15 at 7:30pm at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center
Broadway Stars From Wicked, Memphis, Rent And Jersey Boys Perform With Atlanta Workshop Players.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) September 26, 2012 - Students from the Atlanta Workshop Players will share the stage with four Broadway stars in Broadway Lights at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center on Monday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. Broadway Lights is an exciting musical revue with full production numbers that features New York musical theater actors Anthony Galde, Brad Bass, Tracee Beazer, Karmine Alers and Kate Pazakis performing with the talented Atlanta Workshop Players Company. Anthony Galde made his Broadway debut at 17 in Starlight Express and just completed a seven year run in Wicked. Brad Bass appeared in Wicked, Jersey Boys and the original cast of Memphis.
Tracee Beazer has performed in Hairspray, Memphis, The Wedding Singer and Good Vibrations. Belter Karmine Alers starred as Mimi in the Broadway production of Rent and diva Kate Pazakis appeared in the national tour of South Pacific. Together with the Atlanta Workshop Players Company, these Broadway stars will perform such high energy numbers as "You Can't Stop the Beat" from Hairspray, "Defying Gravity" and "One Short Day" from Wicked, "Steel Your Rock & Roll" and "Music of my Soul" from Memphis and "Raise your Voice" from Sister Act. Broadway Lights will include a live and silent auction with such items as brunch with the Broadway stars. Broadway Lights is a benefit performance for the Atlanta Workshop Players.
All proceeds will go to build a one hundred seat black box theater and expand the Studio Of The Arts on Holcomb Bridge Road in Alpharetta. The Atlanta Workshop Players is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that has made a positive difference in the lives of thousands of kids by providing quality performing arts education and leadership skills for over three decades.
