What would life be like without cookies? I shudder to think. Life should always be sweet, which is why we are here.
(1888PressRelease) May 11, 2007 - Rosilind Coleman, Cookie Creator and owner of The Dough Bar, Atlanta's premier gourmet cookie company, will make life a little sweeter for women and children at an Atlanta shelter for abused women.
As many women prepare to celebrate Mother's Day this month, surrounded by loved ones, there are some who are hiding in safe houses because of domestic violence. Ms. Coleman aims to bring smiles to the many faces of children who will have an opportunity to taste her premier gourmet cookies baked with secret recipes passed down from her mother and grandmothers.
Rosilind says, "Each of our one of kind, handmade gourmet creations is baked with love and care. I'm looking forward to sharing my cookies with the women and children at the shelter."
Ms. Coleman is affiliated with People You Need to Know, Inc., which publishes a business spotlight publication in metro Atlanta. They have been committed to helping women who are victims of domestic abuse.
The company recently sponsored a health screening for those with injuries and acute illnesses at the shelter and also donated much needed items such as toiletries, undergarments, baby supplies, etc.
The Dough Bar (www.thedoughbar.com) is one of the many small businesses featured in People You Need to Know that are making a positive difference in the metro Atlanta community.
The Dough Bar also offers Milk & Cookie parties and Cookies & Ice Cream socials. Their cookies are available to be shipped across the United States.
