- (1888PressRelease) January 05, 2012 - Tempe, Arizona - Athlete Octane, makers of the high-performance nutritional supplement, and professional cyclist Rahsaan Bahati announced a partnership today to raise funds for the Bahati Foundation. $20 from every supplement item purchased using the code bahati20 on the Athlete Octane website (www.athleteoctane.com/buynow), will be donated to the Bahati Foundation.
The partnership is expected to raise thousands for the foundation and further its efforts to inspire and empower underprivileged inner-city youth to rise above their circumstance through the sport of cycling.

Athlete Octane donations will also be used to secure additional equipment and funding for staffing new programs across the country.
Rahsaan Bahati, a pro cyclist since 2001, formed the non-profit Transcend Foundation dba the Bahati Foundation in 2010 to help support inner city youth in underserved communities. Through inspirational speaking engagements and cycling outreach programs, Bahati and the foundation motivate and empower kids toward higher achievement in education, music and sports. More than 6,000 youth have already participated in foundation programs.
Bahati and Athlete Octane have worked together since 1999 when the then-new supplement drink company was just starting and Bahati was an up-and-coming cyclist. Athlete Octane was one of the first to sponsor Bahati.
