Assassination City Roller Derby Announces Military Appreciation Night

Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) May 20, 2011 - Assassination City Roller Derby is pleased to honor local service members by declaring its June 4 bout military appreciation night. The league is offering active duty and reserve service members two ways to receive free tickets to the bout. Service members can present their valid active duty or reservist military ID at the Fair Park Box Office on the day of the bout (after 3pm) and receive up to two free general admission tickets. Assassination City will also be delivering tickets to the Morale, Welfare and Recreation representative of local DFW military bases, so service members can pick up tickets directly from their local MWR Office.

This exciting evening, titled Let Them Eat Skate, will feature the Bombshell Brigade facing off against the Lone Star Assassins and the undefeated Deadly Kennedys taking on La Revolucion.

The halftime show will feature live music by Let's Play Murder. And don't forget the world-famous Assassination City Roller Derby after party immediately following the bout, only at Lee Harvey's (1807 Gould Street, Dallas, 75215). A portion of proceeds from this bout will benefit the East Lake Pet Orphanage.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $18 for floor/VIP seating or $15 for stadium seating online at www.acderby.com or at Pluckers on Greenville and Lovers, The Bone in Deep Ellum and Dad's Broadway Skateland in Mesquite. Tickets can also be purchased at the Fair Park Box Office after 3:00 p.m. on the day of the bout for $20 for floor/VIP seating or $17 for stadium seating.

The Fair Park Coliseum is located at 1438 Coliseum Drive, Dallas, TX 75210. On bout days, doors open at 5:15 p.m. and bouts begin at 6:00 p.m.
