The seminar will cover using your iPad for pre-flight planning, weather, iPad readiness, picking your application, cockpit readiness, re-routing/re-planning, and diversions and emergencies.
The seminars are co-hosted by Mitch Bowers, the owner of Imagewerx.us Aerial Photography. Mitch is an accomplished pilot and photographer and he will speak to the rewards and challenges of combining the two proficiencies. A portion of the afternoon seminar will be held at the Imagewerx.us hangar where Mitch's award-winning photography is showcased.
Chris Dillis, Co-Owner, Aspen Flying Club said, "There are many benefits to EFBs; including increased situational awareness, decreased workload and a cleaner cockpit. Both seminars will enable pilots to use their iPads and other tablet devices more efficiently."
The presenter, Charles Schneider, CEO, MyGoFlight - requests that you bring your iPad charged, applications loaded, and data updated so you can follow along as real-world scenarios are used to demonstrate what it looks like to have made the transition to paperless. You'll be able to test your own skills and learn new skills.
Schneider is the CEO of MyGoFlight and is an instrument rated pilot and an advocate of pilots properly using advanced technology in-flight. He has always flown with an EFB starting with the use of heavy and expensive laptop computers. When the iPad became available, Schneider saw it as an opportunity to bring low cost, securable, easy to use devices such as an iPad to all pilots making flying safer, simpler and more fun. His seminar series, iPad Takes Flight! - Connected Flight™Edition seminar has been presented to thousands of pilots all over the US for the last three years.
