Asia Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi Appoints UNDP Fellow Dr. D K Batra as Its New Director
Dr. Batra was earlier associated with National Institute of Fashion technology (NIFT), FORE School of Management, NSIMS in different capacities. He has been Advisor to Ministry of Information Technology project on Human body measurement, UNCTAD and provided consultancy to various other corporate houses. Dr Batra has also penned numerous books and presented Research papers.
- (1888PressRelease) May 12, 2012 - Dr. D. K. Batra has joined Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi in the capacity of Director. Dr. D. K. Batra is Ph.D. in Management and M.B.A (Marketing) from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. He graduated in B.Tech (Textile Tech) from Technological Institute of Textiles,M D University. He has also attended the Summer day & Night program at Fashion Management Dept FIT, New York University. He has also been a U.N.D.P. Research Fellow to the EU & Brazil in the Product Development Area and has been earlier to University of East London, UK as UNDP fellow.
Prior to this appointment, Dr Batra has worked as Director, Netaji Subhash Institute of Management Sciences. He has also worked as Senior Professor and Programme Director PGDM (International Business management) at FORE School of Management.
He also held the additional post of Registrar of FORE Society. In a long stint with National Institute of Fashion Technology New Delhi spanning 18 years, he has held various senior positions namely: Head- Academic Affairs of eleven NIFT centers in India, Chairperson Fashion Management Studies and Head International Linkages. He has several special awards/honors received/ positions conferred in his career. He is on the PhD Research Board of Jamia Hamdard University. He has also worked as Advisor to Ministry of Information Technology project on Human body measurement conducted by Textile Dept IIT Delhi 2007-10. He has authored many Books and Research Papers. He has provided Consultancy & Training services to various corporate like Raymond India, Madura Garments and Gokaldas Exports, Land mark Group Dubai. Etc. He is a consultant to International trade center Geneva, UNCTAD.
