(1888PressRelease) February 02, 2012 - Ashford Financial Group (TOKYO), independent investment management firm based in Tokyo, has recently announced that it will work in partnership with students from Meiji University's Global Business Department, with the aim of developing the skills required at leading international firms such as Ashford Financial Group.

Ashford Financial Group's Chief Executive Mr. Arthur Henderson advised "There are a lot of talented and bright students at Meiji University. I'm personally looking forward to working with all the potential future stars of Ashford Financial Group."

The idea is the brainchild of newly appointed Head of China Strategy at Ashford Financial Group Ms. Angie Chen. Ms. Chen stated "The scheme gives the opportunity for the students to gain an insight into the real world of the financial industry, giving them a valuable experience which cannot be taught in the classroom environment."
Ashford Financial Group Ms. Angie Chen added "The initiative is important for the development of the skills the students will need to success in the increasingly competitive business world. I am looking forward to working closely with the students to develop their skills. It will also give them insight into how a firm with international staff and clients works, by experiencing what we do at Ashford Financial Group."

The students involved are currently in the University's Business, Accounting & Financial Studies program (BAFS), the first group of students are set to make their first visit to the Head Office of Ashford Financial Group in the second quarter of 2012.
