Ascott Scoops Top Awards At Business Traveller UK Awards 2011

While Ascott The Residence (http://www.the-ascott.com/index.html) took first place for the fifth consecutive year, the company's Citadines Apart'hotel (http://www.citadines.com/) was placed second. The awards, presented by BBC Radio 4 journalist and TV presenter John Humphrys, were accepted on behalf of Ascott by Ms Rebecca Hollants van Loocke, the company's regional general manager for UK.
Ms Hollants van Loocke said: "These awards are very important to us as they are widely recognised as the business travel industry's benchmark for excellence, not least because they are voted for by Business Traveller readers. We are thrilled that our Ascott brand has continued to excel and are delighted with the clear endorsement for our recently-upgraded Citadines properties which has enabled Citadines Apart'hotel to be promoted from third place last year to second this year. Ascott is on track to open six upgraded Citadines Prestige serviced residences: two in London and three in Paris were launched this year and Citadines Prestige Trafalgar Square London is slated to debut in early 2012. Ascott is also on target to achieve 40,000 apartment units by 2015, reinforcing its position as the worldwide leader in the serviced residence industry.
