He was recently named the President of the TSS Board of Directors. The conference, titled Practical Solutions for Wear and Corrosion Problems, represents speakers from across the world and will address wear and corrosion issues within the Aerospace, defense, steel, mining, automotive, paper, textile, and oil industries.
Charles Kay will be presenting the topic, "High Pressure Portable Cold Spray System for In-Situ Corrosion and Wear Applications". The focus is on High Pressure Cold Spray applications. Cold Spray coating are used to repair worn out or corroded surfaces and once applied, they protect and extend the performance life of the system's surface area.
High Pressure Cold Spray Systems are generally more compact and easily portable, with hand-held options available, making it an ideal solution for aircraft bodies and engine components. Mr. Kay will be highlighting the CGT Kinetiks 2000 High Pressure System, a rugged system with a hand-held gun providing consistent, quality performance. This system is capable of producing a nitrogen gas stream over 20 bar. A touch-screen panel is on the system to control settings and feedback data.
