ASA Houston Chapter Receives Outstanding Chapter Education Event for 2014 Annual Energy Valuation Conference
4th consecutive recognition for Annual Energy Valuation Event.
- Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) November 11, 2014 - David Butler, Valuation/Corporate Advisory Services Manager and head of the energy valuation practice in the Houston office of Hill Schwartz Spilker Keller (HSSK), is pleased to announce that for the fourth consecutive year, the Houston Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers has received the Outstanding Chapter Education Event for its Energy Valuation Conference (EVC). The EVC was held on April 29, 2014 at the Federal Reserve Bank in Houston. Butler served as EVC Chairman and Chip Niemann, a valuation and litigation consulting associate in the Houston office, was a member of the EVC planning committee.
"We were very pleased with this year's conference, which drew energy valuation professionals from Texas, Colorado, North Dakota, Louisiana and Tennessee", said Butler. The EVC focused on a broad range of topics within the energy space, including reserve definitions, global natural gas economics, trends in energy litigation, energy capital markets, renewables, acquisitions and divestitures, midstream pipeline acquisitions and fair value.
The Conference's expert speakers were comprised of investment bankers, reserve engineers, Big 4 valuation professionals, academicians and litigators, including Bobby Tudor, CEO of Tudor Pickering Holt & Co.; Ron Harrell, Chairman Emeritus of Ryder Scott; Dr. Kenneth Medlock, Senior Director for Rice University's Baker Institute; and Willie Wood, head of the Energy & Infrastructure practice of Norton Rose Fulbright.
