- (1888PressRelease) December 02, 2011 - Roma Loomba successfully showcased a wide range of photographs at the Ideal Home show. These photographs which were inspired by her work with the Loomba Foundation, was met with a great deal of support and success. Roma Loomba's photographs have been previously inaugurated by Cherie Blair, at The Nehru Centre, London.
With Photographs from India, Europe and Alaska, Roma used this opportunity to further her support to the Loomba Foundation for which she is a Founder Trustee. The photographs will raise money for educating the children of poor widows in India.
Lord Bilimoria, who has been a previous buyer, was impressed by the standard of Roma's photography, stating "I was happy to see so much success and for such an important cause".
In India, young widows are often ejected from the home where by tradition they lived with their late husband and his parents; they cannot return to their own family where they are considered to bring bad luck to their siblings; and they are not allowed to remarry. For this reason Roma Loomba has used her photographs to raise money for this noteworthy cause.
