Artisans on ArtFire.com Mark Their Three Millionth Product Listing Milestone
ArtFire.com has reached a three million listing milestone and made progress in sales and traffic in 2011. These gains have made new hires and further marketplace development possible.
- Tucson, AZ (1888PressRelease) March 16, 2011 - ArtFire has reached three million listings and made continued progress in terms of sales and traffic in the new year. Each listing is a unique handcrafted, vintage, design, media, craft supplies or fine art item. Although the site is only just over two years old, ArtFire continues to grow rapidly. Over $1,000,000 in artisan goods were sold in the first two months of 2011.
ArtFire studios were visited by over two million unique shoppers in January who purchased more than $510,000 in artisan goods. A quarter million shoppers purchased $560,000 in artisan goods in February. These numbers represent 92 percent and 144 percent year over year growth in artisans sales in January and February.
In addition to increased artisan sales and site traffic, the seller community has also grown. Active sellers on ArtFire are up 45 percent in January and 53 percent February. Growth in sales has outpaced growth in membership, which means along with an overall increase in members, each seller is selling more.
"This success has allowed us to continue expanding both our technical infrastructure and our full-time team" said Tony Ford, COO of ArtFire.com. "We have recently added three new full time developers, which will enable us to continue to provide the best possible marketplace for buyers and sellers."
