Arizona's Leading Solar Integrator, Green Choice Solar, To Help The Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus Reduce Energy Cost By $15.6 Million
Green Choice Solar, the leading commercial solar integrator in Arizona, signed a contract with the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus.
- Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) October 07, 2011 - Green Choice Solar, the leading commercial solar integrator in Arizona and the Southwest in general, recently signed a contract with the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus to provide a solar energy implementation to serve the facility's 150,000 square feet. The campus opened in 2002 as a flagship project for the greater Phoenix Jewish community and houses six organizations.
After an extensive energy audit, Green Choice Solar's contract with the campus will include providing overall electricity by adding 400 solar canopy parking spaces. With this addition, the campus will lower its energy consumption, by installing 1.4 megawatts on the campus, and creating $15.6 million in lifetime savings.
When completed, 90 percent of the energy used by the campus will be produced from solar and 88.3 million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions will be offset.
"Our whole goal with this project was to help the campus create a sustainable energy plan to help them save money and be able to focus their budgets towards creating more programs to add to the facility," stated Herbert Abel, Green Choice Solar CEO and founder.
With the addition of the Jewish Community Campus project, Green Choice Solar will have worked on projects total over 12 megawatts.
