Archello integrates with Facebook to connect every professional in the built environment
Archello, the international platform for professionals working in the built environment, has integrated the Facebook Connect and Comments plugins to help the platform move towards fulfilling it's mission.
- (1888PressRelease) April 28, 2011 - 'To connect the whole built environment and make the industry more transparent and efficient.'
The Facebook Connect plugin easily allows the estimated 600 million Facebook users to connect to projects, products, materials, companies and people on Archello. These connections are a promotion of that persons professional experience in the built environment. An architect, engineer or even decorator can now join Archello using their Facebook account and connect with the pillars that they worked on or with.
Each pillar on Archello has a Facebook comments box below the story. This box allows the Archello community to comment on and discuss that story using their Facebook, Hotmail, Yahoo or AOL account.
"Archello's Facebook group has over 200,000 likers and is now the largest Facebook group for the built environment, it made sense for us to use these plugins that Facebook offers" says Martijn Postmus, CEO of Archello.com
Since it's launch in September 2010 the networking platform has grown to publishing - or as Archello calls it 'connecting' - over 15,000 individual stories. These stories by people and companies are about one of the five pillars: projects, products, materials, companies and people. All of which can be connected to each other.
In addition to the Facebook plugins, Archello is one of the only free platforms in the world which allows 3D models of projects to be uploaded and viewed in Augmented Reality.
Currently over 700 of the world's top 1000 architects use Archello to promote their project's and office.
